The Gynecologic Oncology division at the UAMS Arkansas Cancer Research Center
is dedicated to the delivery of compassionate and up-to-date health care for
women with all stages of gynecologic cancer. These include cancers of the uterus
(womb), cervix (mouth of the womb), ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina and
external genital area.
Our services include inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. Radiation
treatment is coordinated with radiation oncology treatment centers throughout
the state. Our nurse oncologists provide comprehensive support and follow up for
the patients receiving both chemotherapy and radiation treatments. We also
sponsor and participate in local and national clinical research trials.
Interested patients may enroll in clinical research studies where appropriate.
