Employment Opportunities
Maternal-Fetal Medicine
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of
Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking two BC/BE
Maternal-Fetal Medicine sub-specialists to join the MFM division. This is an
opportunity to join a growing academic Department dedicated to providing
excellent clinical care, strong training for residents and students, and both
clinical and basic science research. UAMS is the only medical school and is the
primary referral center for most of the high-risk obstetrical needs in the
state. Neonatology and Pediatric surgery colleagues at the reputable Arkansas
Children’s Hospital work closely with us. The MFM division includes a team of
sonographers, genetic counselors, and nurse practitioners. There is an
established and growing statewide telemedicine service which is part of a larger
high-risk consultative service reaching multiple sites across the state. Both
clinical and basic science research is strongly encouraged and supported by the
Department and institution through intramural funding programs, departmental
Ph.D. faculty, laboratory space, and research nurses. Salaries are very
competitive and there is a Departmental incentive program for additional
compensation. Little Rock is a beautiful and livable city. For more information
