Instrumentation Lab

The Office of Academic Services’ (OAS) Instrumentation Lab is a support facility for the repair and maintenance of Academic Services’ large inventory of instructional equipment. This includes student and lab microscopes, and videomicroscopy units provided in the laboratories for use by faculty and students. Annual maintenance and repair sessions ensure top working condition. Service is available for all lab and student microscopes throughout the academic year. OAS Instrumentation offers a wide variety of repair services, which include: Electronic, Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Mechanical and Optical devices.

Service priority is to the ongoing needs of Academic Services’ departments. Service requests accepted from other campus agencies are on a time permitting basis. Charges are broken into two categories.  Audio Visual repairs are charged at an hourly rate of $21.00.  Biomedical Equipment repairs are made at the rate of $30.00 per hour.  Any parts needed to facilitate these repairs are charged in addition to these rates.
