Audiovisual Services - Training
Audiovisual Services provides training in the use of all presentation equipment in our inventory. We will also help faculty and staff learn how to operate and maintain their own equipment. Training can be as basic as how to turn
the equipment on to more complicated situations of fully connecting and setting
up the equipment. For users traveling with equipment, training can include proper packaging, connecting to external equipment and changing lamps and batteries.
Training is also provided for use of the lecture halls and automated classrooms. Training covers: using remote controls, volume controls, lighting controls, playing video tapes and connecting a laptop. These courses are offered to the faculty and staff at the beginning of each semester. A schedule is sent to each dean’s office in July and December of each year. Individual and group classes may be scheduled whenever the rooms and Audiovisual Services staff are available.
