Special Score Entry Section on Key Sheet
The Special Score Grid on the back side of the Test Answer Sheet is designed to permit instructors to enter scores into the OTS gradebook for exams graded manually.
On the Key Sheet fill in the Special Score Grid with the maximum points possible.
You can have fractional points for this type of exam. The decimal place does not need to be filled in as it is part of the Special score gird on the sheet.
Any circles not filled in will be considered to be zeros. In other words to make the perfect score to be 100.00 then you only have to fill in 100 before the decimal place on the key sheet.
Fill in the scores on the student sheets following the same rules as with the key.
If a student did not get any points for that exam then just submit a sheet for him with nothing marked in the Special Score Grid. If the score entered for a student sheet is greater than that on the key an error is generated on errors report for that exam and his score is set to the maximum that is on the key.
Another option in using the Special score Grid is to combine both Multiple choice part of the answer sheet and the Special Score Entry Grid. This scoring option provides the instructor with the capability of using the test answer Sheet both for multiple choice questions and for entering a special score on the same test.
The Special score is treated as if it were the number of points awarded for a multiple choice item and is combined with the multiple choice score to yield an over all exam score. The maximum special Score entered in the Special score Grid on the key is added to the number of points possible on the multiple choice items to get an overall maximum score. The total number of points possible on the exam can not exceed 999.99.
