How many trips to Arkansas will I be required to make?
This depends upon several factors including the
availability of local preceptor resources and the clerkships selected. An orientation week
for either the Adult Medine or Ambulatory Care clerkship is required of all students. The
average distant student makes two trips to Arkansas but this is dependent on local
resources as well as the clerkships selected. If local clerkship opportunities are not
present you should plan for, as the maximum, four one week trips to Arkansas. Clerkship
orientations vary from two to five days.
