THYROID CLINIC
The Thyroid Clinic, established in 1997, is located in the ACRC building at UAMS and specializes in benign and malignant thyroid disorders. The clinic sees a large number of patients with hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism that has developed as a result of Graves’ Disease, thyroiditis, or multinodular goiter. The staff routinely performs fine needle aspiration biopsies of suspicious thyroid masses, and an interdisciplinary team of surgeons, pathologists and nuclear medicine physicians work with the Thyroid Clinic in the treatment and long term management of identified thyroid malignancies.
