UAMS is the state’s only academic medical center and is responsible for training more than 80 percent of the physicians in Arkansas as well as the majority of other medical professionals. Our centers of excellence – Arkansas Cancer Research Center, Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute, Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute, the Myeloma Institute, and Reynolds Institute on Aging are shining examples of how research leads to clinical advances that save lives.
