Paul Eels Surprise Visit
June 1, 2005
Greg Gilliland, the state’s first liver transplant
recipient is a huge Razorback/Paul Eels fan. At the press conference announcing
the successful first liver transplant at UAMS, Mr. Gilliland voiced his
"concern" about the absence of Channel 7 Sports Director Paul Eels. Upon hearing
this, Channel 7 Reporter Christina Muñoz arranged a surprise visit by Paul Eels
during Mr. Gilliland's two week transplant follow up. Special thanks to
Christina Muñoz and Paul Eels for taking time from their busy work schedules to
visit with Mr. Gilliland at the transplant staff at UAMS!

promoting organ and tissue donation. UAMS was just one stop in his one day
whirlwind tour of the city. Mr. Klug visited with transplant patients and staff
during his UAMS visit. Later that evening, Mr. Klug spoke about his snowboarding
