Some of you have asked me about an alternate route due to the river trail being flooded on the NLR side. I spent this afternoon down there on a golf cart driving up and down the trail and some is still under water as you may already know but the good news is we can stay on the same route with just a few minor alterations. Please see below.
From Burns Park Soccer Complex 13 – 17 cyclist will take a right on to Goalie Rd to merge right on the river trail heading west towards the BDB
Right onto the Campbell Lake Trail
Go over the wooden bridge
Right at Isabella Joe
Left at Cooks Landing Road
Left on the River trial
Make the U Turn around to get onto the BDB heading the LR side
Remain on the original Cycle for Sight course until you get to the NLR Burns Park area where you will want to stay on Championship Dr going around the curve and over the bridge
Merge on to Tournament Rd
Turn Left onto Catfish Dr.
Merge right again to start the route back over
We will need to slow down in the area around Cooks Landing area because the Arthritis folks will be gearing up around for their walk across the BDB around 10.
