Saving an Incomplete Protocol
You don’t have to complete a protocol modification in one go. You can save an incomplete modification and work on it later.

To start a modification, choose “Modification” in the drop-down menu, then press <Enter> or click the double-arrow button.

Once you begin a modification, it will be saved as “incomplete” until you (the principal investigator) sign it. To stop in the middle, you may log out, or click “Protocols”, or do just about anything. Your work should still be there when you come back.

To continue with a modification, open the protocol, then click #5 – Modifications. You’ll see a screen like this:

This is one of my test protocols, and, as you can see, it’s a mess. I have nine incomplete modifications! If any of them were real, I could click on a blue word and continue working. That’s all there is to it. Good luck with your modifications!

If you have incomplete modifications that you’d like deleted, send me an email. Tell me the PI, the protocol number, and the date and time of the modification, if any. Otherwise, tell me its position in the list.
