SUBJECT:  Sabbatical Leaves of Absence

When the Principal Investigator (PI) is conducting a clinical study, a sub-investigator must be assigned to the research project throughout the duration of the sabbatical.  Appropriate change in PI forms will need to be submitted to the HRAC.  

If the study is behavioral and the PI can be reached via phone or e-mail by the research team, he/she may continue in the role of PI.  The consent form will need to be changed so that a sub-investigator’s name and number will be the primary contact.  The change in consent form will need to be submitted to the HRAC for approval.
