SeniorLife To Present 'Healthy, Wealthy and Wise'
06-13-02 (Little Rock) "Early to bed, early to rise; makes one healthy, wealthy, and wise" remains an apt maxim from Poor Richard's Almanac. With a contemporary financial twist applied to it, this age-old saying will be the theme for an upcoming SeniorLife program sponsored by UAMS Medical Center.
"Healthy, Wealthy and Wise: A Retirement Planning Seminar" will be held on Saturday, June 29, 8 a.m. to noon, in the Jo Ellen Ford Auditorium of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Aging at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) campus at the Pine and Cedar Streets exit off I-630 in near-west Little Rock.
This seminar will feature experts who will address topics including lifelong learning, social security, legal issues, insurance options, trusts, exercise and nutrition. AARP and Arvest Bank will sponsor a continental breakfast and light lunch. A tour of the Reynolds Therapy and Fitness Center will follow lunch.
Exhibitors will be on hand and will include: AARP, Arkansas Securities Department, Arvest Bank, Donald W. Reynolds Center on Aging, Experience Works, Retirement Advisors of Arkansas Inc., SeniorLife at UAMS Medical Center, The Shepherd's Center, Social Security Administration, UAMS Office of Charitable Estate Planning, and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.
Seating is limited to 100. There is no cost to attend, but advanced registration is required by June 24. For reservations, call 501-686-6363 or send e-mail to
