Preceptor

Meets with students for a plenary session at the beginning of each semester and agrees upon a schedule of at least at least 6 sessions during the year. Assuresj scheduled sessions do not conflict with course schedules. Respects student's time and keeps appointments. Rounds with the student(s) on the patient(s) that were interviewed. Reviews students' write-ups and provides feedback. Observes from start to finish one complete history and physical examination in the spring semester. Constructively critiques student's performance. Returns the evaluation forms required to the ICM office when due. Confers with the Course Director if there are any concerns about assigned students.
