Harold H. Simpson is a
practicing attorney with The Health Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas. He limits
his practice to representing hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care
providers and professionals. He teaches health law at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the
UALR Graduate School of Health Services Administration and has taught health
law at the UALR School of Law. He offers a senior elective at UAMS in Law and
Medicine.
He is co-founder of the Health Law Institute which, since 1977, has presented
over 250 programs throughout the United States which focus on health laws,
regulations and judicial decisions of virtually every state. He is the author of
Practices (1984) and Nurse's Legal Handbook (1985).
He is a member of the AIDS Advisory Committee of the Arkansas Department of
Health. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the
Committee on Health and Human Services of the American Bar Association Section
on Administrative Law. He is a charter member of the Forum Committee on Health
Law of the American Bar Association and past Chairman of the Health Law
Committee of the Arkansas Bar Association. He has been selected for inclusion in
the Health Law Section of The Best Lawyers in America for 1991-1999.
