Preparing for Hard Decisions - What Individuals Can Do

The Ethics Consultation Service (ECS) offers advisory assistance.  This means that representatives of the ECS will offer advice, make recommendations, and help identify ethically supportable options, but the consultants do not make decisions for the persons involved.  The goal of the consultation process is for patients, families and health professionals to make the ultimate decisions in an atmosphere of shared decision making.
