General Information

Workshop Description

The annual UAMS Intensive Workshop in Health Care Ethics offers an updated introduction to the basic concepts and issues in medical ethics on the first day, and special attention to a pressing topic in medicine and humanities on the second day. This year’s special topic is genetics. The course will provide participants with tools and recommendations necessary to ethically integrate genetic concerns into their practice.

Workshop Registration Fees
The registration fee covers all course materials, continental breakfast and lunch. The deadline for registration receipt is April 16.

Lodging

Every type of accommodation from economical to luxurious is available in Little Rock. These include modern hotels, such as the Peabody Little Rock and the Embassy Suites, as well as historic hotels that feature all the modern conveniences. Please contact the hotel of your choice. You are encouraged to make your reservations early and ask for the UAMS rate. We will have a UAMS shuttle to transport workshop participants from the downtown hotels (Capital, Doubletree, Hampton, Marriott, and Peabody) to the conference location. Please contact the office 501.661.7970 when you arrive to schedule a pick-up.
