Donald W. Reynolds Institute On Aging

Donald W. Reynolds Institute On Aging

Dedicated on Sept. 28, 2000, the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging building was made possible through a $28.8 million gift from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. This gift also provided funding to establish the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics in the UAMS College of Medicine, one of only three such departments in the United States.

The facility is designed to house basic and clinical research, educational programs, a primary care clinic, rehabilitation services and administration. For the first time, basic and clinical researchers can collaborate to further the science of aging. In the clinical arena, scientists and health care providers can engage in increased dialogue.

The building added 96,000 square feet to research and patient care.
