Harry P. Ward Tower



Harry P. Ward Tower

This building serves as a patient tower for UAMS Medical Center. It is named for Harry P. Ward, UAMS chancellor from 1979 to 2000. He is credited with leading UAMS’ transformation from a small medical school with a charity hospital to an academic health center and research leader.

Completed in 1999, Ward Tower added 199,600 square feet to patient care including, 100 adult patient beds, 10 labor and delivery rooms and 12 operating rooms.
