Education Building II

Education Building II

The dedication of the Education Building II marked the consolidation of teaching facilities (classrooms and laboratories) and teaching-related support services (Library, Academic Services and Creative Services) in one location on campus.  This facility also represented a philosophical change in support for the educational programs at UAMS. The building design facilitated sharing of resources and teaching equipment and support personnel by all UAMS colleges. The flexibility of the facilities was the building’s hallmark. It was called “a cathedral of learning” because it was considered an environment for learning – a superb setting for the advancement of medical sciences.

This building added 266,096 square feet to education with 14 labs and 4 education labs.
