Barton Research Center

In 1961, Col. T.H. Barton, the Lutterloh Trust and the Buchanan Foundation donated funding, along with federal matching dollars, to construct the T.H. Barton Research Building, which became the first building on campus devoted solely to research. The building was completed in 1961 to facilitate research with 59 labs.

This building added 64,113 square feet to research.
