Is there an application fee? No.
Is there a letter of recommendation form? Most
programs with the exception of Genetic Counseling do not have forms for letters
of recommendation. Please check with individual
programs for specific requirements.
What is the ETS institution code for the UAMS Graduate
School? 6901
How important is the GRE? The GRE is important, but
there are other factors that also play a role in admissions (letters of
recommendation, grades, experience, etc.).
Is there a minimum GPA or GRE score? Each program
specifies minimum GPA and GRE scores. The Graduate School requires a minimum
cumulative GPA of 2.70 on coursework for your first undergraduate degree.

You can visit the
ETS Web site for specific information regarding the GRE test and score
reporting.
Is there an application deadline? Some programs do
have specific deadlines. Please check with individual
programs for specific requirements.

Can I apply to more than one program? Yes, you can
apply for up to 2 programs.

Where can I find information about financial aid?
The UAMS Student Financial
Aid office can assist you with obtaining financial aid.
Are there additional requirements for international
students? Yes. In addition to the program
requirements, international students need to submit
additional materials.
Is there on-campus student housing? Yes. A new
residence hall
was opened in August 2006.
How many students are enrolled at UAMS? UAMS
has about 2,435 students with 424 of those students enrolled in the Graduate
School.
