Resident Teaching Skills Manual

This manual, created by Jeffrey E. Pettit, PhD, Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education, University of Iowa, is intended to be a resource to assist residents in their day-to-day teaching encounters. It is intended to: 1) provide “how – to” guidelines for the novice and experienced teaching resident, 2) identify additional resources [with information pertinent to educating others], and 3) be a quick reference guide for common teaching situations. (Note: this resource is available to the UAMS community only, therefore you must be on-campus or enter your UAMS global login information when prompted.)

Suceeding from Medical School to Practice

This comprehensive, easy-to-navigate resource from the AMA includes a wealth of valuable information plus streaming video to help medical students, residents, fellows and young physicians confront the nonclinical demands of training and today's practice environment. (AMA membership required to access resources)
