The Jones Eye Institute is dedicated
to patient care, education and research. Our main mission is to fight
blindness in our state, which ranks third in new cases of blindness each
year. Philanthropy established Jones Eye Institute. As the economics
of our institutions nationwide change, we rely more and more on gifts
to support our mission. All throughout the year, we are reminded
how vital our supporters are; the Jones Eye Institute’s work is
made possible through financial support from patients, friends and alumni
who want to help.
Your gift to the Jones Eye Institute can help to support:
- Research on diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic
retinopathy
- Endowed faculty chairs and professorships that help us attract leading
ophthalmologist sand researchers
- Expanding our research facilities and laboratories to accommodate
additional researchers in other areas of eye disease
- Endowed scholarships, fellowships to assist deserving residents in
their pursuits to specialize in ophthalmology
