The hospital at the UAMS Medical Center is the state's leading referral hospital and has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as "One of America's Best" every year since 1996. Each year patients come to our hospital for treatment from every county in Arkansas, every state in the nation and numerous countries throughout the world. 

As a teaching hospital, we must remain on the forefront of new medical procedures and technologies. We also act as a safety net for Arkansans who cannot afford medical care. These responsibilities require a large investment in manpower and technology.  Private gift support is critical to our success.
