The Graduate School at UAMS has become Arkansas’ flagship institution for post-graduate medical education. The Graduate School has integrated clinical research with comprehensive health care services, creating an exciting academic environment that is the nerve center for some of the most innovative biomedical studies in the nation.
In order to continue its nationally renowned standing as a research and education institution, the UAMS Graduate School must receive continuous private support. More importantly, continued funding from individuals, corporations, and foundations will help UAMS nurture the next generation of scientists and health care providers to meet the future demand for qualified professionals.
The Graduate School offers 17 degree programs that encompass both clinical and research disciplines. All of these programs need additional funding to continue their missions. Specific funding needs include the following:
- Endowed faculty chairs and professorships will enable the Graduate School to recruit and retain the nation’s leading researchers and professors, as well as enhance the level of faculty involvement in the education and training of students.
- Endowed full tuition scholarships will assure that deserving students will choose to attend the Graduate School at UAMS.
- State of the art facilities and laboratories will attract gifted, innovative teachers and researchers and will enhance the experience for our students as well as the Graduate School’s national reputation.
