The Department of Internal
Medicine and the Division of Gastroenterology at UAMS want to thank the many
gastroenterologists of Little Rock and central Arkansas who contributed their
time and expertise during our faculty shortage in the Gastroenterology Division. The willingness of these physicians to pitch in and help us pursue our missions
of outstanding clinical care and outstanding education of our gastroenterology
fellows without interruption, is highly admirable. Many gastroenterologists made
personal sacrifices and added hours to their already long days in order to
assure that the trainees could learn from the vast experience of the senior
gastroenterologists. Both in the short and long term, citizens of central
Arkansas benefit from the dedication and generosity of the gastroenterologists
of our community, all of whom are adjunct faculty members at UAMS.
