The
Women’s Caucus leadership is very pleased to announce that the sixth recipient
of the Women’s Faculty Development Caucus Outstanding Woman Faculty Award is
Cindy J. Kane, Ph.D, Associate Professor, Neurobiology and Developmental
Science and a former president of the Caucus. She was honored at the Women’s
Caucus annual dinner March 16th for her mentorship, leadership, scholarship and
achievement. The previous Outstanding Woman Faculty recipients are: Drs. Debra
Fiser, Teresita Angtuaco, Laura Hutchins, Jeanne Heard, and Jeanne Wei.

Who is an Outstanding Woman Faculty
Member? –This is a woman who is a successful and appreciated mentor and role model
with a record of scholarly endeavors, demonstrable teaching expertise, strong
leadership as demonstrated by administrative skills and professional
accomplishments, a history of developing careers for other women, Women’s Caucus
involvement, and a record of clinical or research excellence (if applicable).
Emphasis will be placed on leadership and mentoring.
