The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)
Emergency Department (ED) has a rich and prominent history
for providing the highest quality patient centered clinical
care in the state of Arkansas. Everyday we continue to
strive to advance teaching and research in Emergency
Medicine. We also assume a leadership role in our
state’s EMS system, pre-hospital care, and disaster
planning.
The UAMS ED consistently provides 24 hour a day access to
patients of all ages for any perceived emergency health need
regardless of race, creed, national heritage, or ability to
pay for these services. The ED team strives to earn
the trust, admiration, and respect of our patients and their
families. We are dedicated to clinical excellence and
insure that all patients are treated by well-trained and
experienced board certified Emergency Medicine physicians.
Furthermore, realizing that UAMS is an academic
institution, we are determined to recruit highly qualified
medical students, resident physicians, and medical staff to serve the great state of Arkansas.
We believe that working together toward common patient
centered goals with hospital administration, nursing, and
other clinical departments
will greatly benefit the health and well
being of the Arkansas community.
Finally, providing excellent emergent medical care is our
goal. We look forward to serving you in our state of
the art facility and providing you with the finest medical
care available.
