out the Department of Patient Care Services RN
Program where any full-time or part-time (50%)
employee is eligible to refer a full-time employee
(RNs only) to be hired for any Hard to Fill inpatient area.
Here are the basics
of the program:
Referral form must be completed and submitted at
the time the RN application is received in
the Nurse Recruitment Office.
Only one referral/applicant name is accepted.
Receive $250 after new hire
successfully completes the probationary
period (usually 90 days). $750
balance is paid at the end of one year
of employment. Recipient responsible for taxes.
Both employees must maintain same or greater employment
status and not be on written warning to receive
Ineligible employees: Nursing
Directors, Clinical Services Managers, ADONs,
Nurse Recruitment/Human Resources, traveling
nurses, agency nurses, internal transfers,
employed at UAMS at anytime during the past 12 months, or scholarship
