Medicine Pediatrics Residency Program

Program Director's Statement
Robert Hopkins, MD, FAAP, FACP

Med-Peds residency education is targeted to teach the delivery of superior
medical care to children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings.  My
goal, as program director, is to educate residents in a comprehensive care
model: to prepare our graduates to practice primary care, enter into hospital
medicine, or a sub-subspecialty career with a solid base of knowledge.  This
knowledge base and the habits of life-long learning that we aim to instill in our
graduates will provide a foundation for many years of superb patient care.
Although our graduates practice all over the United States, our primary aim is to
train superior clinicians for practice in Arkansas.
