LITTLE ROCK – Three
University
of Arkansas for
Medical
Sciences (UAMS) programs are featured in the latest U.S. News & World Report
“America’s
Best Graduate Schools,” which hit newsstands this month (UAMS College of
Medicine Geriatrics and Primary Care Programs,
College of Nursing Masters
Program).
The UAMS College of Medicine Primary Care
Program, which includes family medicine,
internal medicine and pediatrics, ranked 35th among top
medical schools in the nation, up 10 places from last year. UAMS tied with
Mayo
Medical
School
in Minnesota,
University
of California
– San Diego,
University
of Maryland,
University
of Virginia and Wake
Forest
University
in North Carolina.
Important discoveries in research from the
Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism
faculty
is highlighted and discussed extensively in an article from
the latest issue of BioEssays
(30:102-106; 2008). The review article is titled "Which way
does the Wnt blow? Exploring the duality of canonical Wnt signaling on cellular
aging." Faculty include

Paul Hermonat, PhD,
