Intranet Access
...is limited to members of the Department of Psychiatry!
Logging On from a UAMS Computer
How you access the intranet depends (to some extent) on your
computer's security settings. You can check or modify these settings from
Internet Explorer by going to Tools>Internet Options, selecting the Security
tab, hitting the Custom Level button, and scrolling all the way to the
bottom of your settings, where it says User Authentication.
-
If your computer is set to Automatic logon
with current username and password and you try to access the intranet,
when you are prompted to enter your User Name, Password and Domain, you
can leave all the fields blank and hit enter. This should give you
access.
-
In general from a computer on campus (no
matter what the setting) you should be able to access the intranet by
entering your User Name and Password (like
you would if you were logging on to your computer). The Domain field can be
left blank.
Please note: there are
some security settings that will automatically put UAMS\ in front of
your User Name. You should TAKE THIS OUT if you are using a computer ON
CAMPUS.
Logging on outside
UAMS:
If you want to access the intranet from an outside
computer, you need to enter UAMS\ before your User Name (like you
would accessing Outlook).
The Domain field can be left blank.
Please let us know if you are having
problems accessing the intranet! It can be a bit finicky.
