Travel Medicine
Whether you are planning a business trip, a visit
with family and friends or an adventurous vacation, overseas travel
offers a wealth of enjoyable and exciting opportunities.
Unfortunately, it may also expose you and your traveling companions
to a variety of illnesses, many to which most of us have no natural
immunity.
The
Travel Medicine Clinic in the UAMS Department of Family and
Preventive Medicine can help you to have a safe and healthy trip.
The clinic offers a comprehensive consultation service designed to
help you anticipate and prevent potential health problems that you
may encounter on your journey. The clinic can also provide any
vaccinations or prescribed medications you may need prior to your
departure.
