The Department of Family & Preventive Medicine's Preventive, Occupational & Environmental Medicine (POEM) program at the Family Medical Center offers the highest possible standards in health care services for business, industry and individuals.

POEM works to make a healthier environment by identifying and addressing existing healthcare needs that could possibly cause illness and injury for employees, and most likely lost time. Thus, costing everyone money.

We offer a comprehensive range of services.

Preventive Medicine

• Wellness training such as smoke cessation, back injury prevention, stress reduction, substance abuse, etc.

• Flu vaccine program
• Surveillance programs (asbestos, hearing and other occupational exposures required by OSHA)

• Fitness-for-duty examinations

Workers Compensation
