Dermatology Residency Program

Our four-year categorical residency in Dermatology is sensitive to the needs of the trainee with teaching sessions daily or twice daily. In addition, residents have outpatient responsibilities at all times except during elective time. This is a "hands-on" program with the residents participation in direct patient care under faculty supervision. We have seven full-time faculty, three part-time faculty and one devoted to the studies of the mechanisms of cutaneous and corneal inflammation with focus on neuroinflammation and innate immunity. We also have on-site dermatologic surgeons performing the full range of procedures. Our facilities are excellent with three hospitals in the program. These include University Hospital as the teaching hospital for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care System and Arkansas Children's Hospital which is a 316 bed pediatric hospital where almost every specialty in pediatric medicine is offered.

To Apply:

Applications should be made on ERAS. In addition, we also require a copy of the Dean's letter, medical school transcript, and three letters of recommendation (LoRs). Interviews are by invitation. Deadline for application is October 30, 2009.

The next match is early 2010. Class starting PGY-2 in 2011.
