UAMS Medical Center's Department of Dermatology has expanded its already wide range of patient care services to include the Pigmented Lesion and Melanoma Cooperative Group. This group offers both diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Dr. Daniel Davis, Dermatopathologist, Associate Professor for Dermatology provides the diagnostic and therapeutic services through total body photography and simple excisions. Dr. Kim Hiatt, Dermatopathologist and Assistant Professor for Pathology, provides dermatopathology services. Dr. Hutchins, Professor for Internal Medicine, whose subspecialty is medical oncology, provides biochemotherapy, interferon therapy and other protocols pertaining to advanced melanoma. Dr. Kent Westbrook, Director of the Arkansas Cancer Research Center and Dr. Ralph Broadwater, UAMS Professor for Surgery and Director of the ACRC Surgical Oncology Division, are available to provide sentinel lymph node biopsies and other surgical procedures. Dr. James Suen, Chairman and Professor for Otolaryngology lends to the group his world renowned expertise in head and neck oncology. Dr. Dennis Shrieve, Chairman and Professor for the ACRC Radiation Oncology, provides radiation therapy.
