Diane S. Mackey., JD

Assistant Professor

 
Professor Mackey is serving a joint appointment at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she has multiple responsibilities for interinstitutional efforts as well as teaching law.

At the UALR School of Law she was editor of the Law Review and received the Carl Bailey award. She served as law clerk to the Honorable G. Thomas Eisele, Judge of the Eastern District Ark. Thereafter she served as an Assistant US Attorney. She handled both civil and criminal cases. Professor Mackey took a number of courses at the Department of Justice and was invited to teach there.

In 1983 she joined Friday, Eldredge, and Clark in Little Rock and took Of Counsel status in January, 2004. She taught health law as an adjunct for many years prior to her current appointment.

She has been chosen for membership in the American Law Institute and has served as member and chair of numerous Arkansas Bar committees and also on Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals committees.
