Office of Community-Based Public Health

The Office of Community-Based Public Health was established to provide a resource for the College in its efforts to promote community-based public health among its faculty, staff and students.  The Office, administered out of the Dean’s Office, has four primary objectives:

  1. Develop and maintain close partnerships, based on the COPH Principles of Community-Based Public Health, with a limited number of Arkansas communities to serve as model programs of community-based participatory public health
  2. Coordinate the COPH Community-Based Public Health Faculty Advisory Committee
  3. Provide resources for COPH faculty, students and staff on community-based public health theories and methods, and assist in the development of new community-based educational, service and research programs
  4. Develop grant applications and conduct funded projects involving community-based participatory research

Kate Stewart serves as the Office’s Director.
