This module consists of four lectures, in the form of audio-narrated
PowerPoint presentations which provide an overview of the topic of audiometric
testing as part of an occupational hearing conservation program. It is intended
for use in a graduate or undergraduate class in occupational health or in
applied audiometry or as part of a training program for occupational safety and
health professionals. The presentations are highly compressed and therefore
suitable for use with an Internet-based course management system such as
Blackboard or WebCT and may be used with either a high-speed or dial-up
connection.
After you finish the lectures you may want to take a
20-question, multiple choice quiz.
Lectures:
1. Introduction to Occupational
Audiometry (16 min.)
2. Quality Control (15 min.)
3. Interpretation (16 min.)
4. Impairment and Referral
