Student Campaign Challenge

Hello,
I wanted to share with you the release of a very exciting opportunity for students:   the "Student Campaign Challenge" http://fridayletter.asph.org/article_view.cfm?FLE_Index=6614&FL_Index=1500

ASPH has issued a request for applications (RFA) for students to develop and execute a “This is Public Health” communications campaign during National Public Health Week, which will be held April 7-13. The RFA challenges students at ASPH-member schools to develop communications campaigns that help raise awareness about public health and how it affects our lives. ASPH is awarding winners with grants up to $2,000 to execute their ideas.

Students are in a position to share their knowledge and enthusiasm about public health with their communities, including future students of public health, local leaders and the media. ASPH encourages students to get involved and looks forward to seeing innovative approaches to mobilizing people to support public health in April.

A Commitment to Diversity
Attracting and retaining diverse new talent to the Agency’s health programs is a key goal of GHFP. One way of achieving this goal is to provide internship opportunities to students and graduates of minority serving institutions including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions and Tribal Colleges and Universities. While all of our internships are available to any qualified individuals who would like to apply, four in particular (Malaria Intern, Management Resources Planning Intern and Program Management & Publication Intern) are designated for students or graduates of minority serving institutions.
