The College of Health Sciences at West Chester University of PA and the Amazon Center for Environmental Education and Research are pleased to be offering a field course on basic principles of botanical medicines, Botanical Medicines from the Amazon and Machu Picchu, September 26th - October 5th, 2008 in Peru.  Non-credit, pharmacist CEUs and physician Continuing Medical Education credits can also be earned.  This course is in association with the American Botanical Council and the Texas Pharmacy Association.  Attached are the course syllabus and travel itinerary.

 

We believe that this course may be of interest to students and faculty at your university and respectfully ask that you pass it on to interested parties, and consider posting it where students might see it.  A distinguished faculty from Penn State University, the ACEER Foundation, and the American Botanical Council will teach the course.  It is part of West Chester University's accredited Master of Public Health program, will carry 3 credits, and can be transferred to home institutions.  All West Chester University tuition and fees will apply in addition to travel costs.  West Chester University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to award CMEs to physicians.  Pharmacy CEUs will be awarded by the Texas Pharmacy Association.  There are no additional fees for these professional CEUs.
