Formulary Information
A nonprescription formulary is a document designed to be a reference for yourself or other pharmacy students or pharmacists. It should assist them in choosing an appropriate medication for a specific disease state or patient complaint. You may choose any of the commonly recognized problems/diseases or domains listed in Section III of your manual. At a minimum, the formulary should contain the following information about each product:
- Brand name
- Active ingredient and strength
- Therapeutic classification
- Directions for use
- Warnings and precautions
- Adverse effects
- Drug interactions
This information may be written out in bulleted format or may be included in a table type format. |
