Research & Scholarly Interests
My research interest are to 1) investigate alterations in ion transport mechanisms of cardiac cell function (particularly related to E-C coupling) in response to physiological, pharmacological and pathophysiological conditions (e.g., aging, drug actions, inflammation), 2) characterize signaling pathways responsible for these conditions, and 3) understand cellular mechanisms for cell survival and cell death so to develop drugs to improve function of cardiac cells and prevent the growth of breast cancer cells
