Public Parking
Plenty of free parking is available
at Barton Coliseum for the Commencement
Ceremony, as illustrated in the diagram
of the State Fairgrounds. The diagram
also indicates which gates will be
open to traffic during the ceremony.
Staff from Barton Coliseum will be
on site in the parking lots to assist in parking.
These attendants will also stay on
the lot during the ceremony, however it is
highly recommended that you lock your
vehicle and remove valuables or place
them in the trunk of your car during
the ceremony.
Students and visitors should enter the Coliseum through the WEST ENTRANCE,
since access on the east side will be restricted.
Entering the Fairgrounds
Students and Guests:
enter at the Main Entrance via Gates 1 or 2 and park
in lots west of the coliseum.
Faculty and participants:
enter on Schiller Street and proceed through Gates 8,
7 or 8. Reserved and open parking lots are available. Reserved lots require
a parking pass.
Be sure to allow plenty of
time to reach the Coliseum and find a
parking space, since traffic is typically very
heavy by 2:00 p.m.
