You can look at a list of our electives in a searchable format by clicking on this link: Electives List

Not all of the electives in the electives list are open to visiting students. Specifically, visiting students are not allowed on longitudinal electives (course numbers begin with the letter "L"), and are generally not allowed on our required Acting Internships or Primary Care Selectives (courses with course numbers that look like this:  _ P C _ _ or _ A I _ _ or USHAI.  Electives that take place here on our main campus in Little Rock usually have course numbers that start with the letter "U".  Electives with course numbers starting with other letters are generally out in the state away from Little Rock at our AHEC sites.  Regardless of where the elective is located, you must make arrangements through Ms. Williams as noted below.  If you have a question about whether a particular elective is open to you, just contact Ms. Williams.

If you want an application or further information, please feel free to contact our senior year coordinator, Ms. Sharanda Williams at (501) 686-5348 or at her e-mail address: WilliamsSharanda@uams.edu.  You can also print off one of our application forms by clicking here: Application Form (in Adobe pdf format).

Our snail mail address is: Academic Affairs Office; ATTN: Visiting Student Application; University of Arkansas College of Medicine; 4301 W. Markham, Slot 603; Little Rock, AR 72205
