With a campus-wide vision of building one of the nation’s foremost medical science centers, the College of Medicine supports outstanding research programs and teaching excellence. To accomplish this, COM assigned development officers work to further cutting-edge progress by developing open communication and public understanding of research needs and successes. 

In order to augment these efforts and attract research funding, the following are helpful:

• Notifying Development officers of donor or organization interest
• Major contacts with industry that could be strengthened
• National awards or recognition of your research
• Basic and clinical science research components that fit into major health concerns
