Cost of Attendance 2008-2009 Cost of Attendance
The first half of tuition plus all fees are due at registration. The second half of tuition is due by January 15, 2009. *Tuition is doubled for non-Arkansas residents. The University reserves the right to change the schedule of tuition, fees and other fixed costs as necessary. Every effort will be made to provide advance notice of such changes. The amount of tuition listed reflects the anticipated amount of tuition charged for the 2008-2009 academic year. The exact amount of charges for the 2008-2009 academic year will be determined in May by the UA Board of Trustees. Tuition is doubled for non-Arkansas residents. Bowie County, Texas, residents will be charged in-state tuition. Updates will be posted as they become available. **Students MUST be covered by hospitalization insurance. A group plan is available for UAMS students—more information can be found through the UAMS Office of Student Activities and Housing. The cost listed is an estimate. Also, the College of Medicine reserves the right to perform a criminal background check on all applicants accepted for admission. Our Cost of Attendance Budget was developed based on information derived from a survey of UAMS College of Medicine students, the UAMS Bookstore, the Office of Student Activities and Housing, the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Services, the Office of Student and Academic Affairs, the College Board and the Association of American Medical Colleges. The budgets are updated to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index.
