Since 1994, members of the Founders Society have demonstrated a strong commitment to keeping the College of Medicine strong and productive. The Founders Society now has nearly 300 contributing members and over $32 million in assets.
Their generous contributions have supported students in ways that the College of Medicine’s original founders never could have imagined back in 1879. In 2006-2007, for example, the Founders Society funded a highly realistic clinical training simulator, the Laerdal SimMan, and videoconferencing equipment for students and faculty in the Pauly Auditorium on the UAMS campus.
Members pledge or give at least $10,000 to the College of Medicine Founders Society Endowment.
Contributions can be one-time cash gifts or pledged for payment over several years. Membership also is available with deferred gifts such as bequests or life insurance of at least $25,000, and gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts of at least $50,000. Additional membership levels are available.
