The Medical Alumni Association is the organization of alumni for the UAMS College of Medicine. Members are all alumni, former house officers, current and former faculty, all physicians practicing in Arkansas and friends of the college.

For Students
Provide over $178,000 in scholarships through memorial, named, alumni class endowments and the general scholarship fund
Provide breakfast at College of Medicine Family Weekend
Class funds provide support for:
Medical Ethics and Medical Humanities (Class of 1944M & D)
White Coat Ceremony (Class of 1951)
Student Research Week (Class of 1955)
Gross Anatomy Lab (Class of 1960)
Clinical Skills Center (Classes of 1966 & 1967)
Students in crisis (Class of 1972)
Day with a Doctor
10th Block lunch
For Alumni and Other Members
Host Alumni Weekend annually
Make available class rosters online
Mail updates to alumni regularly
Send bi-annual newsletter to all members
Present Distinguished Alumnus/a Awards
Respond to individual requests by letter or telephone daily
Work with individual alumni and other individuals, major clinics, alumni classes, etc., to obtain more scholarships and gift endowments for the benefit of students
For the College of Medicine and Faculty
Manage Dean’s and Founders Societies
Work with students and the dean to coordinate all planning and activities for the College of Medicine Phonathon
Assist department chairs in building house officers’ alumni program
Solicit funds and acknowledge gifts
Participate in editorial content in College of Medicine publications
Recognize and thank donors annually
